Food

Flaving away in the kitchen is our surly old cook hunched over the stove in a thankless job. Or that's what he claims. In reality he's reading trashy romance novels. The vittles on offer today are as follows:

Snacks

  • Fresh Bread

Freshly baked! Served with sides of butter, cheese, and honey. Included with the curry platters

  • Sweetfish Skewers

Lightly salted and roasted to perfection, these sweetfish skewers make for a simple-yet-sublime snack.

  • Tiny Cakes

An assortment of tea cakes and tarts made fresh daily by local baker. Don't order these, so Zoey can take them home instead.

Meals

  • Beaver Burger

No actual beavers were harmed in the making of this burger. No we don't know why it's called that either. It's ground Aldgoat, we swear. Served with fried popato wedges.

  • Dodo Curry

This flavorful curry with chunks of Dodo is mild by the cook's standard, but nicely spicy by the rest of the staff. Served with rice and fresh bread.

  • Shrimp Curry

The Cook's specialty, this shrimp curry is a family recipe that has traveled with him from Thavnair. He considers anyone who appreciates the level of spice to be family. Considered extremely spicy by Eorzean standards. Served with rice and fresh bread.

Cocktails

Medley has a full bar and a pair of battle-hardened bartenders dedicated to crafting refreshment. The list below is just a sample of the drink they can provide.

  • Sailor's Lemonade

"What one rum can't do, three rums can." A blend of dark, light, and spiced rum with simple syrup and lemonade provides a a tart-yet-sweet cocktail that has become the signature drink of Medley

  • Harvest Cocktail

Boozy with notes of spiced apple, this drink of apple brandy, vermouth and bitters makes a drink perfect for sipping

  • The Lion's Tail

Not as dangerous as its namesake, this mix of mix of bourbon, lime juice, simple syrup, allspice dram, and bitters will leave you refreshed rather than overwhelmed.

  • The Suffering Basterd

The Ishguardian version of this ancient recipe is a mix of brandy, gin, lime juice, some bitters, and a splash of ginger beer. Garnished with an orange slice and a sprig of mint.

  • Arnold Palmer (non-alcoholic)

Legends tell of this ancient warrior and the swings of his mighty clubs.
According to the archives, he wasn't a fan of ale, so challenged a barkeep to give him something interesting. This blend of lemonade and iced tea is a result.
